Here’s Copywrite’s latest video off God Saves the King. It’s hard to pick a favorite song off this CD because it’s so good, but this is one of the stronger ones for sure. Illogic destroys his verse. If you still haven’t heard this album, shame on you. Go give it a spin, I guarantee you you’ll find something on there you like. Copywrite fans have something to look forward to when he drops the Proper English Version of his latest album on June 13th.

This week I’m going with the Lecrae song off his latest mixtape, Church Clothes. This song features Malice of the Clipse who recently became a Christian rapper. Who better to co-sign Lecrae than him? They both go in on this track. Say what you want about Christan rap but you can’t deny Lecrae doesn’t spit a hot 16 on this one.

This is really exciting! Big K.R.I.T. is finally set to drop his debut album, Live from the Underground on June 5th. This is definitely a day one pickup for me because he’s provided us with three solid street albums before hand. K.R.I.T. is a one of a kind artist, there are not that many southern artists left that keep it as real as he does. He’s also got the perfect sound. At the moment I wouldn’t place anyone over him (other than legends) from the south. Here’s his latest music video. No. 1: Big Sant. He is Big K.R.I.T.’s long time friend and is also a solo artist on K.R.I.T.’s Mult-Alumni record label. He too is a native of Meridian, MS

No. 3: Police escorts that followed Big K.R.I.T as he drove around his hometown during the video shoot.

No. 4: Big K.R.I.T.’s tattoo of the word Mississippi. It is a dedication to his home state. The tattoo was done by world renowned artist Miya Bailey.

No. 6: The Temple Theater located on 8th Street in Meridian, MS. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

No. 7: Anderson Regional Medical Center. This is the hospital in Meridan, MS where Big K.R.I.T was born

Here’s Curren$y’s first music video off his upcoming album, Stoned Immaculate. It features Daz from DPG. This is kind of a random collabo, but I think Daz drops a nice verse. Curren$y is as mellow as ever. I’m really looking forward to this album. Make sure you check it out on June 5th. Lecrae just dropped a mixtape with Don Cannon. This is unheard of for a Christian rapper to drop a mixtape with a secular DJ. But you know what it’s a great co-sign. People will listen to this tape based of the work Don Cannon has put in over the years. Lecrae is not just a good Christian rapper, he’s a good rapper period. I’ve dabbled into Christian rap here and there being a Christian myself but honestly nothing even compares to Lecrae. Yes he does talk about God, but he doesn’t overpower you with it like some of the other rappers do. One of the things he has is content. He has a lot more than just one subject to talk about. Still on the fence about listening to this? Well it’s got production from 9th Wonder and Boi-1da as well as a feature from Malice (of the Clipse).

Wingspan Interview

Growing Wings is finally slated to drop later this summer and here’s a new interview Wingspan just put out talking about it. Stay tuned for the new single “Kamonati” featuring Dom O Biggs and Shortman Score. Watching this made me realize how much of a genius this dude really is. Of course there’s been a lot of setbacks for this album but he’s making it perfect. I know I won’t be skipping any joints when I finally get my hands on the final project.

I just spotted this over at G-UnitFamily and couldn’t pass up on posting. Here’s studio footage that recently surfaced of 50 Cent recording his Til I Collapse freestyle circa 2002. This freestyle later made it to the 8 Mile OST. You can’t deny that this wasn’t a classic 50 freestyle. I remember loving this when I first heard it back in high school. Ok so I’m breaking the rules for this past week’s single. All that was worth posting for this week was another one of those dope Cam and Vado songs from the UN Lost Files series. I’ve already posted 2 singles from them this year though. In order to add some diversity, I’ve chosen to give you Slaughterhouse’s recent single, “My Life” featuring Cee-Lo Green instead. I know it’s a couple of weeks old, but it’s still a great song nonetheless. I’m sure there will be single this coming week that I can post.
