2 Chainz – Birthday Song (feat. Kanye West)
You know I was just thinking the other day about music videos really sucking nowadays. There’s a few here and there that are outstanding but most are just meh. This video isn’t outstanding but it’s certainly memorable. There are so much random and crazy things going on in this video that its worth watching over and over. This video personifies what 2 Chainz is as well haha. He’s a rapper that’s a comedic genius. A lot of people were hating on his recent album, Based on a T.R.U. Story but I honestly didn’t see anything wrong with it. I think people set high expectations for albums sometimes. To me the album was everything I expected and I wasn’t let down in the least bit. Is it my favorite album of the year? No, not even close, but its certainly not bad. It’s got its place in my collection and it fits in the crazy/hystical/trap rap lane. This song will be remembered for years whether you like it or not. As I’ve said previously I really respect 2 Chainz grind. He was behind the scenes most of his career but did exactly what he needed to do to be noticed.
